I got a second hand switch and it does exactly the same thing, both work perfectly sometimes, then only in fast mode, i even took them apart and cleaned all the contacts.I got a second hand switch and it does exactly the same thing, both work perfectly sometimes, then only in fast mode, i even took them apart and cleaned all the contacts.

If your wipers are working fine on normal and fast speeds but not on intermittent, the problem might be with the wiper motor or the relay. You may want to try replacing the wiper relay first, as it is a relatively easy and inexpensive fix.
As for the mist and washer functions, it is possible that the wiring has been crossed somewhere or that there is an issue with the switch itself.
Having windshield wiper/washer problems? Here are some more common problems.
Motor:
The wiper motor is commonly replaced and was often not the problem. Don't replace the motor yet. maybe it's not the motor. It could be a fuse or something at the wiper switch. The wiper motor has two windings, fast and slow. The wiper switch sends a ground signal to each motor winding. More often, there are problems with the relay, or at the wiper switch, or in the cable to the motor.
Windshield Washer:
Don't be too quick to replace the washer pump. The problem is often just a clog in the sprayer heads. You can clean out the sprayer holes with a needle, some have two holes, so look closely. Hope this helps.
Intermittent wipers: Inside the wiper motor (of most cars) there is a diode or diodes. They burn out or they break. If you replace the diodes the intermittent wipers will work again. If you cannot replace the diodes, replace the wiper motor completely (used or new)
Would need to scan vehicle to insure the wiper speeds are controlled by the General Module or a wiper intermittent relay....if relay...would locate and replace...if general module.....a reprogram or software update could be in order...possibly replacement.
