Is there a reset procedure for the windows? - 2006 Dodge Durango

There is no "reset" procedure.

Had the same problem with my 2002 Opel Astra but it seemed to sort out itself after driving it a while and resets on its own..Check out youtube they also might have some videos.May be a faulty servo on that window or the window cradle lifting cable might be damaged.

Hold the down button 4 seconds after fully down, then hold up button 4 seconds past fully up. Has to be done per window.

switch ignition on, engine off. fully open window fully close window, lift and hold window close switch until window motor emits a clicking sound, repeat procedure for remaining windows,switch ignition off. sound like battery been replaced disconnected, if this procedure dont work let dealership check it out.could have blowed window switch fuse to that door.

your window motor needs to be re-timed. its out of time. it doesnt know where exactly it is when it comes to the top when closing, thats why it does that. there is a procedure to reset it, but its not for someone that do not work on cars or are not how you say somewhat handy. i am not sure what you can do about it your self, but if you are handy let me know and i ll give you the procedure to reset it. i will tell you this you will need to take the door panel off to do the reset and somewhat take the door apart to do it, so let me know.

Do you mean the car is automatic or the window? (punctuation required :o) If by automatic window, you mean pull it up 2 clicks and it closes all the way, same for down then it probably needs resetting. Most manufactures have a self-set procedure which is as follows. with ignition on, hold the window button down for 20 seconds, then hold it up for 20 seconds then repeat the process 1 more time. This resets most brands of electric window.

Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. If the CHG OIL SOON light flashes two times, the system is resetting. Turn the key to OFF, then start the vehicle. If the CHG OIL SOON light comes back on, the system has not reset, repeat the procedure. Follow this procedure to reset the GM Oil Life System using the DE 100 Series Radio®. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and the radio off. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed. Press the SEEK up or down arrow to scroll through the main menu. Scroll until OIL LIFE appears on the display. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed. Press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second. Once the message has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display. Press the DISP button to exit programming. A chime will be heard to verify the exit.

If you leave your finger on the remote central locking fob for too long when opening your car it drops the back window down aotumatic. If you put the key in the lock and turn the key it will shut the window back up .
