SOURCE: Why won't my 2004 Ford Taurus 3.0L idle?

Sounds like the EGR valve is stuck in the open position.Take it off and clean the off of it and make sure the pintle will open and close because it should be closed when the engine is at idle speed. If it is open at idle then it is allowing exhuast gasses in and will choke the motor out.

I need the keyless entry code for my 2003 ford taurus

only the registered owner can get this code. you must go to a ford dealer and show proof that you are the owner. current registration and a valid state issued identification card with information that matches the registration will be acceptable. no excuses, will get you that code. think of this code like money in your bank account, you wouldn't want the bank to give your money away just because a person "says" this is their account, would you? it is a safeguard for your own protection.

ECU compatibility

You can try to replace with a similar unit, but typically Ford ECUs have to be "reflashed" by the dealer. Ford has numerous calibration codes and various other vehicle specific information that can only be managed with Ford certified (dealer) programing devices. I hope this helps
