Bought a Snow Way 26 series plow. When I hook up the lights to my turn signals it blows the fuse. We put in larger fuses and still happened and now my head light is burnt out. My turn signals are not working on either my truck of the plow now

Wiring new plow light in a 1988 Jeep Cherokee, bought universal plow light kit 1311100 to replace old light on a Meyers setup.

sold my 88's (had 2, one yours, and one Comanche)
sold in 2000 year, ran hard and over 250k miles each.
the answer is the same,as all cars, for sure..
you have an added relay for lights.(aux)
this relay prevents overloading the cars H/L wiring and fusing
so there are 2 parts, there, a relay and a fuse inline added.
the fuses are are for fire safety. (the battery can do 500+ amps ok?)
Relay mounted somewhere, and...
the coil pin 1, ground. car body ground is ok.
then the relay coil 2 wire to the H/L low beam wire,or tail light wire using and inline 5amp fuse , to protect that very expensive H?L switch in that jeep,
tail lamp wire also means PARKING lamps. TODAY.

Contactors are those switch part of relay not the coil.
then contactor, power in pin to one more fuse, 15amp to battery +
and each contactor out to your plow lights. (load)

the when H/L are on the relay closes and the Plow lights work
if you google this there are zillions of wiring diagrams for this
even 4wd offroad light bars wired the same way.

there you go, how to wire AUX lights on any vehicle.

1991 Lincoln Town car turn signals not working#17,16,and 15 fuses blow

Don't put a larger fuse in; you could burn up the wiring. You need to look at each item that the fuse protects and see which is shorted to ground. You need a wiring diagram and an ohmmeter.

When i put my 2002 f250 powerstroke in reverse the radio shuts off

There was known concerns with the multifunction switch on the steering column that would blow the fuse fir tail lights, turn signals, and hazard lights.could be feeding back and shutting off radio also.I personally had this problem with the tail light fuse blowing.I use my truck to plow and it sees a lot of shifting, mine is an 05 so wiring diagrams are different, but this could be your problem. Easy diag, remove steering column cover and unplug multi function switch, directional switch, and see if concern stops...

98 expidition blows fuse# 21 when trying to start

Hello! The wire from Fuse #21 (Dark Blue/Orange) that goes to the Digital Transmission Range (DTR) selector is branched to another fuse (#20- 5A) (Dark Blue /Orange) which powers the 4 Wheel Air suspension Module...On the opposite side of Fuse #20 the wire color to the 4-WASM changes color to Red/Black... It is literally two fuses in series...
Pull Fuse #20 and disable the 4-WASM and see if the fault leaves..If it does The problem exists in the branch... The air suspension control module is mounted in the passenger compartment inside the instrument panel above the radio and temperature controls...And MAY be wet from a compartment leak allowing rain to drip on the module...Saailer

I need a fuse box diagram for 1983 Dodge Power Ram

When the fuse keeps blowing, there is only one reason why. That is because there is a short, not because other fuses are missing. For example if the fuse is rated at 10amps, and the wire after the fuse is drawing more than 10 amps it will blow. If for example you put a bulb in series with the wire than is only drawing 2amps the fuse will not blow that is because you have put a load that is less than what the fuse is rated for. One way to trace a short is to start where the fuse is at. Find which is the wire connected to that fuse. one side of the fuse is connected to the battery and the other side goes to whatever device it supply, and there maybe several of them. Note what else do not work beside the turn signal, Most short occur where there is an electronic device. Since your car is an older model, it is unlikely to an electronic device, but a wiring may have been worked on and somehow a hot wire is touching the body of the car. If the fuse blows only when the key is in the on position, then logically you would look at the back where the rear lighting may have been worked on, thats because turn signal are always off when the key is off. If it blows even when the key is off then you know there is something else beside the turn signal that the fuse is connected to that is on even when the key is off such as tail lights because you can turn on the tail light with the ignition off. You get what I mean?
