Chevrolet Silverado 2004, blows warm and cold air alternating and sometimes blows warm on passenger side while blowing cold on driver and vice versa...
Had a mechanic check the freon and compressor. He said the compressor is cycling and the freon is dead on. I was hoping there was a sensor or switch that may be the issue...but the mechanic didn't want to get into the electronics and I can't work on anything newer than a 1970's model cars...I'm just a shade-tree mechanic..Had a mechanic check the freon and compressor. i am an owner also same vehicle there is a baffler in the center of the console next to the front window it you can find it cause there is a little hole you cn see this controls the air distribution to the driver side . i tried getting to it twice it is difficult to remove all that. Was close but ran out of time and gave up was quoted over $300 to repair if i removed the steering wheel it might have been easier to solve . good luck
Check whether the warm air isn't going in with the cold air .Coolant line that runs into the firewall on the passenger side of the engine which is toward the bottom half of the firewall on the passenger side. If there is warm air going into the vents with the cold air then it blows warm air. You may have to shut it manually because it gets stuck sometime. Check it out.
2004 Suburban air conditioner blows hot air to the dirver side but cold air to the passenger. This does not happen all the time but has occurred several times this last summer.
I have the same problem with my 2003 Silverado. I am not sure how to fix the problem but I'll keep looking and let you know what I find out. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.
You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator
You are experiencing a warm air blend door problem, possibility cased by a week vacumn diaphram.
This can be a defective blend air door or a vacumn problem.
