Water on dipstick in 2000ford zx2 2.0 4cd duel overhead cam vect.

Water on the dipstick indicates some type of failure between the cooling system and the oil system. If you are lucky, it is simply a failed head gasket, worse is a cracked head or block. Has the car ever been severely overheated?

the speakers must be powered by a power amp- either under a seat, or in the trunk.

Most stereo functions just stopped working.

Sounds like you have an internal short in the stereo. Or could be that the face of your stereo is worn out too. Get another radio.

What would cause stereo system sound to go out when door chime went out?

GM vehicles 2001 to about 2004, they tried running alot of things thru the stereo. Door chimes, security system, key fob reset. This didn't work too well as when the stereo breaks, so does everything else. You might have a bad stereo, or maybe (depending on your vehicle) the amplifier that runs the speakers might have pooped out. You can do an aftermarket stereo and they sell a wire harness that bypasses the amp. Just a suggestion. The wire harness for those year GM's is about 150 bucks, plus buying the deck. Like I said, just a guess and a suggestion.

My 1998 Chrysler Town and Country LXi mini-van radio does not work. Have an "Err" code displaying on radio when I try to use the CD player. Also when I turn on the radio there is a click sound...

Chances are there is a problem with the radio itself, and it needs to be replaced. You can find used radio suppliers on ebay, and most will answer simple questions via email to help you.

The clicking you hear near the fuse panel is probably an external amplifier on the system, my 2003 Durango has one as well. Normally you wouldn't hear the click because the stereo would be playing.

There should be a tiny model identifier on the face of the radio near the clock (RAZ, RBD, etc) which will help in figuring out the problem.

there is no wiring for a stereo system at all (toyota,along with all major makers, skimp on everything,allowing you to fit a system that,if you can afford it,will "fill the grand canyon with sound"

You have a short.. Take out the radio you put in and make sure the wires are not crossed...

My stereo

If you go to your local honda dealer and give them your VIN number, they should be able to look it up for no charge. Depends on if they're a bunch of you know what then they would want to be compensated.
