Car overheating when in idle or in traffic ok on moterways

Some cars have a vacume check valve on the vacume line that
activates the air duct to open and close . If the vacume is not right
it will not work properly . If the vacume check valve is ok then check
and make sure the heater core is not clogged up

There may be an issue with your oil pressure sensor.
You also probably have a faulty water pump that is functioning under revs but not at idle, what happens if you rev it mildly at idle

temp sensor probably bad. You can listen for the fan at idle or just open the hood and look to see if its turning.

You need some new head gaskets, my friend. Or you have a cracked head... either one = BIG BUCKS. bummer.

radiator blocked try changing it.

sounds like a partially plugged radiator. Colder temps will be OK but when weather warms up the problem shows up too...check for leaves etc between the radiator and ac condenser before doing anything else. Stuff on the outside will act the same way as an internal obstruction.

this would be your cooling fan module located by your air filter mounted on the core support.
