Codes p 300 is a random/ multiple misfire===causes spark plugs---HT leads ---injectors/s--ignition coil/s--low compression---wiring
codes p 301,303,305 are misfires detected for no 1,3 5 cylinders === causes listed are engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/fuel systems ---injectors---ECT/MAF sensors---ECM
You do not mention if this is a v6 engine in which case no 1,3 5 will be all in the one bank head
With the loud ticking noise that amounts to a mechanical fault associated with that bank
could be loose valve seat inserts , cam lobes failure or cam follower failure or hydraulic lifters problem even loose cam shaft bearings / caps
I would be inclined to remove the rocker cover and check for metal , loose bolts , excessive valve clearance before I went plugs etc
the main indicator for the answer is the loud ticking noise which indicates a valve train problem which will cause the rough running

SOURCE: LOUD TICKING NOISE IN ENGINE AFTER INTAKE REPAIR

How long have you ran the engine ? I know that they will run rough and sometimes make strange noises for a few secounds or a little bit untill everything get oiled up again. I would make sure all the push rods are back in the right place and that all the lifters are tight.

SOURCE: CAR IS RUNNING ROUGH HAS 122K. MAKES LOUD NOISE

With that many miles, I think you need to replace the timing chain or belt. Also if you havent changed the plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and had the fuel injectors cleaned lately, this might help.

Lets see if I can educate you

There have been no tune-ups in 25 years

You only get spark plugs
Purely an advertising gimick

Most important & a reason to stay as far way from
a dealer as possible

You went to a dealer as 500 people a week on this site
alone do,only to come here having wasted your money
& nothing is resolved

You have Cylinder Misfires & codes on 3 cyl

Don't you think they were there at the dealer &
they could care less

I have been dealing with that situation for 49 years

You need a local shop that has been there with the
same owner for 20 years or more to simple properly
diagnose a fairly simple & very very common problem

Rough idle when car is started and makes noise with acceleration

If you run with a check engine light on then you are looking for big dollars for repairs.. The light is there to tell you to have the fault codes read so that repairs can be kept to a minimum. So run the fault codes and find the fault .

Ticking Noise at Startup

Possibly a leaking hydraulic lifter. They can leak down while engine isn't running and then make a ticking noise for a while on startup. If it takes 10-15 minutes to go away, it is more likely to be a loose tappet which needs adjusting.
