Replaced both belts on an 03 Lancer, now car won't start. It will turn over just not firing

Maybe the timing belt it's out of timing. Check video.

Did the timing belt break? Are you 100% that it is "in time" correctly? Does it spin over effortlessly? If so,do a compression check,and make sure you dont have any bent/broken valves,or blown head gasket.

Tiburon timing belt broke, replaced, won't start

Did you make sure you set cam & crank timing ? If the belt is off one tooth it will cause this. Recheck belt timing first.

did you check the engine for bent valves? thats really an ISUZU engine I think? check the valve clearance, if any valves have way too much clearance, they are bent.

I have a 89 toyota camry and my timing belt broke and i get it to the point where it pops like it wants to start. not like backfiring either it has the 2.0 4 cliynder

make sure you have the engine in time here is the timming belt marks to make sure you have them correct,

I have a 1990 Geo Strom, we replaced the timing belt that was broke now it back fires and won't start. When I got it I was told the motor was seased up but it wasn't it has spark but it won't...

run a compression test,it may be an interference engine when the belt breaks it also bends engine valves
