two answers,depending on seat.
1.push in 1/2 moon shape piece at bottom of post and lift,it is stiff...
2.about 6 inches down from the post on the back of the seat you will feel a small 1" pad, push it in hard and lift headrest,it will be stiff.
better if someone sits in back and tries to move headrest at first cos you will only have one hand free
and from experience a face full of headrest can hurt.
hello, you need to remove your rear seat,,look for your your headrest valve ,there is a lock pin with tension clip in headrest rod ,remove the pin,try to remove your headrest slowly,ty
2. There should be a little small push button lever that is almost flush against the plastic trim piece at the base of the headrest. Push it in (doesn't go in far at all!!!), and lift up on the headrest at the same time.
To replace the headrest, push the little button in and push the headrest down....that's it.
The headrest has on obvious button to adjust the height and another button kinda hidden to remove the headrest. The black plastic ring at the base where the metal poles insert into the seat is where the two buttons. You probably noticed the obvious on that sticks out of the side of one of the rings. The other plastic ring contains a similar button that is not noticeable due to it being flush with the side of the plastic ring. Adjust the headrest to its highest position, then locate the "hidden" button on the other plastic ring and depress it while lifting on the headrest and it should come out.
