The batt went dead, tried to jump it with one of those rechargable jump boxes. At first it would try to start. crank but not fire. Then one time I connected the jumper up wrong (got the + and - backwards. noticed it after I had tried to crank it. Corrected the connection and now lights and dash work fine but there is absolutely nothing when I turn the key. No clicking, no attempt to crank - nothing.
You will have damaged some of the critical electronic components on the engine when you connected the power source up the wrong way.
Until you identify and replace all the damaged components you will not be able to start the engine. To begin with the starter motor solenoid and starter motor will most likely be damaged. You would need to check with a mechanic or auto electrician on all the items that will be damaged as a result of connecting power up incorrectly.
