SOURCE: 99 GMC sonoma will start with starting fluid then

The 99 GMC, when it acts up, check whether it has fuel and/or spark. It could be related to fuel pressure, available electrical power, ignition component/s.

Why is the AWD front differential 'venting' fluid out of the vent tube?

Ensure the color of the vent cap is white in color. Early production models used a black colored cap that caused external leakage out the vent hose.

What is differential fluid

differential fluid is typically called 80w 90 (or similar designation based on manufacturer specs.) but is very different from the grease used in ball joints. you should check your owner's manual for specific specifications, but typically a good NLGI listed wheel bearing grease applied through the grease fittings on the ball joints will properly lube the ball joints

What is a good synthetic diff fluid for 98 explorer 4X4 and a 98 ranger2X4? and what quantity should I purchase for each I am replacing both covers?

RedLine makes very good differential fluids. The fluid in the rear differential is going to be 75w140 and as far as the front differential,I would check with the parts store for that.It could be 75w90 or 75w140. You should get about 2 quarts of fluid for each differential. The transfer case is going to use Mercon V(5).About 2 quarts for that as well.

Does changing your differential fluids help your transmission

HI, The transmission and differential assembly are two different devices that are linked by the drive shaft. Now; if your vehicle is front wheel drive only, you do not need to change your differential fluid because you wouldn't have one in that case. With that said; Changing the differential fluid will not affect your transmission. It will only provide better differential lubrication and functionality. Administering a flushing technique to both devices will only have an individual effect on both devices.

NOTE_ Differential maintenance is quite rare for the average city driver. Your transmission will require more attention than most differential assemblies. Now; if you do a lot of off-roading and pull heavy loads on the regular, i would have the differential assembly inspected every 16k. If not, simply, have the transmission checked every 10k for proper fluid and filter change.

How do you add transmission fluid to a 2000 town country

The tranny fluid is added through the tranny dipstick (make sure it's not the oil dipstick). Fluid color should be red and the dipstick should have instructions on how to check level (car in park, engine at idle). Funnels are your friend here.

How do u fill the tranny differential on a 1996 toyota corolla?

It depends on if have you have a 3 speed automatic, 4 speed automatic, or a manual transmission.

The 4 speed and manual tranny share their fluid with the differential so if you fill the tranny you fill the differential at the same time.

The 3 speed differential does not share its fluid with the tranny. To fill or check the fluid on the 3 speed automatic you will need to get underneath the car. The fill bolt faces the firewall side of the transmission. It is about 4 inches above the differential drain plug. You will need a fluid pump and hose to get the fluid into the fill hole. The fluid you will need is Dexron tranny fluid.

On a standard 94 corrolla, is tranny fluid used or gear fluid and how much?

Depends. If it is manual transmission, gear fluid; if it is automatic, then automatic trans fluid. I guess you are asking abot differential fluid, right? Auto trans fluid go into differential and AT gearbox. Gear oil go into manual transmission and differential.
