SOURCE: heater core on a 2003 Chevrolet pickup 4 wheel drive crew cab

if you have air conditioning you will need to take it to a garage and recover the r134, you will need to remove the dash to allow you to remove the heater box, it's an ugly job, I've done a dozen or so and can do it in about 6 hours now, the first time it was closer to 11 hrs, good luck

SOURCE: part time four wheel drive

This is due to the type of differential used.

I suspect this is a limited-slip differential, which locks up when one set of wheels starts to spin.

You can get problems with these when they age. The simplest fix is to change to a lighter fluid, as this will reduce the friction effect - thus giving you lighter steering and saving tyre wear.

You may as well change fluids in all diffs.

Do not try to engage it any more there is an electric motor either on or in the transfer case that engages 4 wheel it may be bad. Any time you have a vehicle with options that you do not use use them every once in a while, once a month or so. Where yours was seldom used the switch in the motor is probably stuck in an unnatural position.

1993 4X4 BLASER 4WHEEL DRIVE

Your blazer is equipped with a shift on the fly four wheel drive. That means that at speeds less than fifteen miles per hour you can shift into or out of four wheel drive by simply pushing the four wheel high button. If you wish to shift into four wheel low. Stop, put the transmission into park or neutral, and push the four wheel low button. Same procedure for shifting back out. Never shift into or out of four wheel low while moving. And be careful in four wheel low. At full throttle your still barely moving, you don't want to blow your engine up!
