Engine light came on code was 61-1 plus I been having slight hesitation at 40 - 45 when I mash gas pedal it stops what could be causing this 4 cylinder motor?

The PO 300 is random cylinder misfires & I fail to see why
you would not have checked for codes & found that issue
and corrected it within days of getting any codes

It also sounds like you have a transmission oil leak & are low
on fluid

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

sounds like low idle control sensor ! when car acting up could sstop by parts house get them to plug computer in and see if any codes have been stored even though the engine light not on at this time

Usually the problem of hesitation is caused by a faulty throttle position sensor or low fuel pressure, and stalling is a dirty throttle body or faulty idle air control valve.
Is the check engine light on ?

go to autozne get free scan for codes. report codes back here. Might need an electronic pedal sesnor since you have electronic gas pedal. I have one for $50 new. See what code is first.

MOST TIME CAR STUMBLE OR HESITATION ON ACCELERATION YOU.HAVE A SLIGHT LEAN FUEL MIXTURE.CAUSED BY STOPPED UP FUEL INJECTORS OR FUEL FILTER SLIGHTLY PLUGGED.

scan it.check the throttle position sensor.and check air duct that goes to throttle body. for leaks holes and cracks.make sure its tight.

Throttle position sensor may need to be replaced or checked. Any codes? Check engine light on? As the 1-2 shift, the detent aka kick down cable may be out of adjustment.This cable runs from the throttle body into the transmission. It has a button on the cable near the throttle body on cable housing. Push it in and this will loosen the cable. With car off, mash the accelerator all the way down and this should reset it.

Are you getting any CHECK ENGINE light at all?

That's my 1st ? before troubleshooting any further as the hesitation could be caused by numerous things!
