How does the gauge fuse work, because i think it doesn't work properly

AutoZone has free manuals online, they may have your vehicle.

Check any ground wire you can find. They may have gotten corroded and no longer grounding properly.

also I would check both fuse boxes and make sure there aren't any blown fuses.

Power should goto the gauge, second wire from the gauge goes to the sender unit on the tank. If there's any other terminals on the gauge or the tank they will be grounds

Check the Instrument Cluster Fuse... I am willing to bet that is the problem

You have blown a fuse..check fuse box. There may be one fuse box one in the cabin but also check for the fusebox in the engine compartment.

The fuel gauge is not fused separately from the rest of the gauges in the instrument panel, so unless the whole lot is dead the problem lies elsewhere. It is likely if the gauge doesn't work it will be the gas gauge sending unit in the fuel tank that is defective.

Your first problem is to find out why the intermittent no-power problem. Honestly, that sounds like a loose conmnection somewhere. check all your grounds for clean and tight conditions Also, battery connections and alternator connections. Double check your power distribution center for any loose wires or poor connections. Once you solve that problem, then you can diagnose the other problems with poor idle and temp. gauge.

you crossed a wire behind the stereo, make sure there are no bare wires and the stereo is properly wired, check your fuses

if the check engine light is on then there is a code set in the ecm(computer) that you need to have pulled and diagnoised.if your spraying starter fluid and it starts then you have a fuel delivery problem,could it be out of gas,plugged fuel filter,bad fuel pump,injectors not being comanded to open by the ecm.this should help to get it running,

It is a 10 amp fuse in the passenger comp. fuse block.Should say gauge next to it.
