Purge valve location 2001 chevy cavalier 2.2

The EVAP Purge valve, on your vehicle, is located in the engine compartment. Yours is on the top of the front-right side (passenger side) of the engine. Just in case you need to know where the EVAP Vent valve/solenoid is located, it is underneath. It is tucked away at the rear part of the car, between the fuel-tank and the right-rear fender well. I hope that helps, good luck.

Received P0455 Evap System Large Leak Detected - 2004 Cavalier

your problem is probably a vacuum hose that goes from the purge valve to the gas tank (crack or broken hose). There should be two of these check both. A broken vacuum line will make the purge valve make a clicking noise that can be mistaken for noisy engine valves.

This indicates that a part of the EVAP control system is no longer fuctioning correctly. The EVAP system consists of alot of parts, including the gas cap, fuel lines, carbon canister, purge valve, and other hoses.
