Hi there. From under the hood. The #1 and #5 fuse are associated with the Anti-lock braking system. Page 5-101 on this website will be insightful of the fuse placement. http://www.vadengmpp.com/owners-manual/buick/2004-Buick-Regal.pdf It is recommended to remove both fuses if you are working near the air bag. #5 fuse should be removed when working near the dash. You will have #1 - #8 fuses that are the same size on one side. It would be good to remove both fuses just to make sure you are taking safe and preventive measures. Good luck!
The fuse box is beside the battery under the hood. The fuses and what they relate to is marked under the lid of that fuse box. Use same size fuse if it needs replacing. If in doubt check all the 15 to 30 amp fuses.
Hello! There are many fuses involved...Since I do not know if your vehicle is equipped with automatic temperature control or manual, whether the compressor clutch pulls or if the system has the correct amount of R134A; I'll give you a list of fuses involved....The Battery Junction Box is under the hood and the Central Junction Box is inside the vehicle....In the BJB check fuses # 11, 21, 101 and 102....In the CJB check fuses #8 and 15...If all the fuses are good buy a bottle of R134A with a gauge attached and check the level of refrigerant in the system...If the system is full, fuses are OK, I would then suspect a faulty component and would troubleshoot from that point....
This is "Power Distribution 101". If there is no power to the Underhood Fuse and Relay Center, the ONLY things it could be is a dead battery or disconnected/corroded/loose battery cables.
