1996 honda accord LX wont start came home fine last night. Just morning wont start. everything comes on lights, horn blows.... only a clicking noise when trying to start. Notice that battery cable was loose. I tighten them tryed a boost still no go. Need help wife gets off and needs her car "Help"

step s: to start. all gas cars is easy

battery charged, to 12.6v rested.
all fuses good, if any of 4 EFI fuses blow , the PCM dies.
does it crank, if it dont crank , ask for help, (try jumper cable starts)
got spark
does test fuel work?

Check the starter motor. Many times they go on there own with no sign, and having someone crank it while using something to tap it often helps it turn over.

If you here a clicking noise when you turn key, starter motor could be duff.
If no clicking noise solenoid possibly not working. Check wiring and current to solenoid and starter motor first.

by putting in the over size fuse you have melted some wires together and created more problems then you started with

Hi
Try to jump start the car.
Put the jump leads on and leave it for 10 mins
that will charge the battery up
then try and start.
Also check the starter motor.

Try smacking the starter with a blunt object ( hammer or something ) Smack it several times while cranking. It may free up. Listen for the click at the starter. Its prabably a bad starter. Common symptom your describing. If it does start replace the starter.
