Check for a vacuum leak...or bad/dirty EGR valve. Most likely a vacuum leak.

My 2010 aveo acts like it's surging or like your giving it more gas than you really are but it only does it going up a hill .Does anyone have an answer

A/c running when going up hill? This could do it. The PCM kicks up the RPM's when the A/C cycles on and off. You just don't notice it as much on a flat surface. A couple other things would be a dirty throttle body and idle air control motor.

Wont go uphill

1. Low fuel pressure. Check pressure and replace pump/filter as needed.
2. You are "pinging". Use premium gas, check ignition timing and have mechanic remove carbon build-up from cylinders.

My 1997 Nissan Altima will just die while im driving

when? all times. even going fast up hill?
if you see it only die just before stop signs?
that may be the EGR stuck open. (main EGR valve)
there are 50 other reasons.
can you save the stall easy with a fast acting right foot.?

1998 Chevrolet C3500 dies randomly when driving down the road - uphill, downhill or flat surfaces. Typically doesn't happen when it's cold. Sometimes it starts back up and sometimes it doesn&#

my younger brothers' truck did the same thing and there was a relay up under the dashboard that would get hot and shut of(kind of a circuit breaker unit) most of the operating systems will flash at you when only battery voltage is available which explains the lights coming on..these newer trucks also have a performance chip in the system that will act up when it gets warm also..replace this and you may be ok..let me know what happens also.. good luck.

Could be one of many problems. Start with fuel filter, air filter or oxygen sensor, Those are the cheap and simple ones. If little changes then it gets a lot more expensive and only a mechanic will help.

you may have a bad catalytic converter, because when the exhaust system get hot it melts and constrict the exhaust flow . bring your car to a muffler shop and have them check the exhaust system pressure. they normally do this for free.

No matter what surface flat or hill or any speed it feels like im driving up a steep hill transmisson fluid is fine could this be caused from a faulty overdrive

Go for a drive, pull up and feel the heat of each wheel rim.If one or all are extremely hot,the brakes may be binding.I would check this as a first step.Hope this helps

Seems like trans is slipping or wont accelerate hard but will acc

if i was you try to refresh the trans before any other wear happens, drop the pan replace the filter (pops right in) while the fluid makes a mess =) and replace with new fluid, substitute 1 qrt. lucas stop slip for 1 qrt. tranny fluid though, and make sure the dot reccomendation is right for your truck, good luck and that should help it unless your having idle air problem, but if it feels like its sleeping do as i advised, good luck and take care, let me know if it fixed it always good to get follow ups =) c ya
