the computer dont know,
all it knows, is a reading fails.
in electroncs we do more testing
it can be bad wires. bad connections or bad sensors.
we use a voltmeter do check this, or a scope if fast moving signal.

SOURCE: Oxygen Sensor on '99 Isuzu Trooper

The O2 sensor is on the engine side (up stream) before the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe, it is barrel shaped about the size of a jumbo magic marker.

SOURCE: 2000 isuzu trooper: OBD-II Trouble Code: P0401 Insufficient EGR F

Your SUV is really giving you a hard time, lol. Sorry but I've had those days too.
I would try to check if you have blocked EGR passages. If ok check for restricted MAP sensor vacuum hose/passage or restricted exhaust. I know you replaced the CAT but if the muffler is blocked then there would still be a restriction. Also check the wiring and connection to the MAP sensor.

This diagram of starter circuit shows the clutch pedal switch in the circuit on an automatic should have the neutral safety switch in the circuit. This is for 95 Rodeo.

Where can I get a key for my 1986 Isuzu Trooper 2. The trooper was my dad's but he died on September 18 and then my house burned down on the 26 and we can not find the key to it. So my only option is to...

you will need the key code to cut new keys,an isuzu dealer would probaly be the only one that could get the key code with the VIN number.even at a dealership getting key code and cutting new keys will not cost much, this may not be easy most places only store the last ten years of key codes.if a dealer can not help you go to a junkyard find an 1986 trooper that has keys for it and buy the ign cylinder and keys and install in your unit.(sorry about your dad).
