Installing a new Sony radio/ cd player. Several post reference an internal "antenna booster" but cannot find anything about which wires to supply power to this booster. Please help, can't get...

here is some free advice, antenna boosters simply amplify the radio signal AND the static so there is no increase in sound quality, plus they pick up all that nice spark plug noise. the upshot is that if you spend money to buy one you will find yourself taking it back out and tossing it or pawning it off on some ****** via eBay.

Subaru forester (2006) radio stopped working - only light static. CD player works fine.

Best guess is the antenna has a broken wire/lead, or somehow got unplugged from the radio. You will have to remove the radio to check antenna wire with Volt/ohm meter.

NO MUSIC JUST STATIC CD PLAYERS WORKS GOOD SOUNDS GREAT BUT NO STATIONS PICK UP ANYTHING

It sounds to me like the radio antenna has disconnected from the back of the radio head unit. Pull out the radio to check and see. I hope this helps, if not, let me know and ill try to assist you further

The radio on my 2004 Tiburon gets only static on every station, however the CD player works perfectly fine. Solutions?

if it has a built into the window antenna, install a real one on the fender. if it has an antenna which retracts and extends automatically, replace it with a real one. if it has a good antenna, make sure it is actually plugged into the back of the radio.

The radio in my 2003 dodge neon has a lot of static on every radio station i have checked the antenna connection and it is good. also the cd player has started to skip more lately dont know if it is...

If the static doesn't change tempo with engine RPM, the unit is probably going bad. If it does your radio suppression is faulty. Could be ignition wires or the antenna going bad.

Car radio doesn't work

It sounds like the antenna wire may have come loose from the radio or the antenna - would be worth checking. Just remember, if you can't get in behind the radio, and you have to pull it, don't disconnect the wiring harness, or you'll need an unlock code to make the radio work again.

2003 santa fe radio not working

if you are getting static, you need to replace the antenna. you can also add an antenna booster.... but chech the connection of the antenna inside the radio to make sure it is still connected.... if you have the origional radio for the car connect that back up and plug the antenna in on it and see if you get the tunes, if you do then it is a wire problem in the new radio with the antenna wire itself....hope this helps you out

2001 Ford Taurus Radio doesn't work but CD player does!

Does your car have an automatic raising and lowering antenna? If it does check your fuses for it. If not pull your radio out of the dash, and check to make sure that the antenna wire has not become lose or unplugged from the back.

1992 Honda Civic Radio has only static

if the tape player works fine and no static u most likely have a problem with your ground, check to see if your radio is getting good ground and also check the antenna unscrew the two bolts on top of the car and carefully pull the antenna upwards and check the wire connected to a piece of metal where the screw goes (if good) add another ground to your radio.
