I have a 2002 Chevy trailblazer change the fuel pump, fuel filter, call packs spark plugs regulator starter in truck starts for a second and turns it off. What could that be

Good question. Many things to eliminate. You might want to have a mechanic narrow this down with a diagnosis. Otherwise, here are possible causes:

Fuel pressure regulator: If the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, it can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check the fuel pressure regulator to see if it's working properly.

Fuel pump relay: A faulty fuel pump relay can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check the fuel pump relay to see if it's working properly.

Crankshaft position sensor: If the crankshaft position sensor is faulty, it can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check the crankshaft position sensor to see if it's working properly.

Ignition switch: A faulty ignition switch can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check the ignition switch to see if it's working properly.

Battery: If the battery is weak or dead, it can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check the battery to see if it's working properly.

Fuel filter: A clogged fuel filter can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You mentioned that you already changed the fuel filter, but it's possible that there's still an issue with it.

Vacuum leak: A vacuum leak can cause the engine to start and then stall immediately. You may want to check for any vacuum leaks in your truck.

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

Troubleshooting the no-start condition - from the 1990 Mitsu Mighty Max Repair Manual:

3 Inspect Distributor Cap -- Distributor Cap Cracked or Burned.
3 Inspect Fuel Filter -- Clogged or Dirty Fuel Filter.
5 Inspect Ignition Coil -- Faulty Ignition Coil.
6 Inspect Wireset -- Worn, Damaged or Faulty Spark Plug Wire(s).
7 Inspect Spark Plug -- Incorrectly Gapped or Fouled Spark Plug(s).
8 Inspect Starter -- Starter Motor Faulty.
9 Inspect Fuel Pump -- Low Fuel Pressure.
10 Inspect Solenoid Switch -- Faulty Starter Solenoid Switch.
11 Inspect Fuel Pump Relay -- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay.
12 Inspect Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator -- Faulty Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator.

1993 gmc sierra k1500 5.7 V8, fuel system shuts down while driving. Have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel relay.

Check to make sure oil pressure switch is not sticking or gummed up and connections are tight. Your oil pressure switch is also a safety feature that will shut down fuel pump in case you're in an accident and/or rollover.

How does the feul pump relay works?

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
The fuel pump relay regulates the power given to the fuel pump. If the fuel pump relay is faulty there will be no power to the fuel pump and will result to fuel supply failure. These relays just like the others serves as regulators so that the battery will not fail during electrical loads.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

It seems like fuel problems. i got fuel coming to the top and its good pressure..engine start for about 4 or 5 sec and die ???helpcould it be the regulator?I have installed new filter....help

The real test is to use a fuel pressure tester. It sounds like the fuel pump is making the initial prime but failing to build pressure. This could be a bad fuel pump or it possible that you have a bad fuel pump relay.
I would test the fuel pressure on the fuel rail first, if you have consistant pressure generally above 25PSI, (check MFG. spec..) then I would consider checking the regulator. If you lose pressure just after the start up then try replacing or swapping the fuel relay and see if this corrects it. If not then chances are your going to have to replace the pump.

Replaced the fuel pump & main relay. but the

First of all, why do you think it is fuel at all, since it could be the ignition?
Second is that if the car shuts down, how do you know it is not simply a clogged fuel filter?
A bad pressure return regulator can blow out fuel pumps by causing the pressure to be so high the pump over works itself.

I suggest you need better data.
A fuel pressure gauge would be nice.
You could improvise one out of a cheap mechanical oil pressure gauge. You could also run some long thin wires to the fuel pump relay output or even to the pump itself, and hang a little LED off the dash as a temporary diagnostic indicator light.
To catch an intermittent, you need constant data.

Geo Metro 1994, diagnose no fuel presure problem.

Quite a few things can cause a car to die after idling for awhile, but if you have verified that the fuel pressure is actually dropping when the motor dies, the likely culprits are:
1) Electric fuel pump in the gas tank is bad
2) The fuel pressure regulator (on the throttle body) is bad
3) An electrical problem in the power to the fuel pump (like a bad fuel pump relay or lose ground wire to the relay's circuit)
