Most parts stores carry after-market repair manuals. They have complete wire diagrams in them.

SOURCE: trying to find the fuse for the power mirrors/cig.lighter

Subaru is funny about hiding their fuse boxes. Yes, they are sometimes located inside the vehicle behind sliding panels beside the steering column. Check both panels by your feet and under the dash by the steering column.

2001 ford f-250 super duty 5.4 headlight relay location

Sorry no relay , check the wiring diagram ! http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting , then under subsystem click on headlamps . Click the blue search button an two links will pop up . click on them one at a time > check the 30amp fuse # 10 in the under hood fuse block . Also check the 15amp fuse #16 in the central junction box ( inside fuse panel ) .Two more fuse's in the under hood fuse box #9 & #11 both 10amp . If the fuse are alright could be the headlamp main switch or the dimmer switch . Testing with a volt meter would be the most 1 appropriate way to test . Follow the wiring diagram from fuse to switches checking for B+ voltage into the switches an out of the switches . There are videos on youtube for basic automotive electrical testing .

Watch a few videos on yourtube for basic automotive electrical testing , Look at electrical distribution wiring diagram , start at the battery , check battery voltage , check at power distribution box Fuse's . Can you do that ? Honda ELD Is the B+ voltage at the I/P fuse box . Check B+ voltage at the ignition switch . Only U can find the problem by electrical testing , we would only be guessing .

96 Chrysler Concorde Power shutdown to my fuse box Inside

If you have lost ALL power to that interior fuse box, you have encountered either a large fuse blown under the hood, or perhaps a "fusible link" is blown. Otherwise significant corrosion has cut off the supply maybe near fuse box under hood.

If no blown fuses up front, get a partner to monitor that fuse box inside with a meter, while you begin moving the harnesses around that lead into the firewall or fender that are routing power to the inside fuse box.

Check for wire "chaffing" under hood along frame/ fenders/ etc. Even the large connector that goes through the firewall could have loose/ corrosion problem.

Follow wire diagram for your car....this could be a fast fix.

This is an unusual failure.

My brake lights dont work for a 2005 nissan altima. how many fuse boxes are there to check

I saw two fuse boxes, one appears to be close to battery and interior fuse box.
As far as the interior fuse box, I'd look along lower edge of dash. Sometimes the fuse is located on the end of dash, have to open door to see it.

Headlights and dashlights went out on my 1999 mercury cougar

There are two relay's in the under hood fuse box .Low beam & high beam relay's . The B+ voltage wire for the switch is orange with a black trace . Power is from fuse F26 7.5 amp ,location -central junction box , inside the passenger compartment . Do you know where this is ? This is B+ voltage for control of the relays . B+ voltage for the headlamps comes directly from the BATTERY . Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on lighting ,then under subsystem click on daytime running lamps . Click the search button then the blue links .

Where is the fuse box location under the instrument panel inside the 2000 toyota corolla. While the all the lights are ok, the signal flash and the hazard light flash do not flash.

The turn signal is on an intermittent switch. The relay or fuse under the hood might be bad. If you can't find the one inside, look for a cover that says FUSE BOX on it. If no luck, refer to your owners manual.

My break lights aren't working

If all of your lights inside and out arent working, then its sounds like an electrical isuue. that cost as much as $1500 dollars. But i would start with checking the fuses in your relay box under the hood. That is usually where the lights fuse is at. Some cars have two fuse boxes and a relay box, one fuse box is inside the car, one is under the hood, and the relay box is under the hood. So i would check the relay box under the hood or fuse box if you can find one. granted your brother checked them all, it sounds to me like an obvious blown fuse... good luck

No power to the fuel pump

well actually there are 2 things that can cause this.. I'll list them both and the fix,,

1.) fuse.. There are 1 / 2 fuses that protect the fuel pump.. The first is the in fuse panel under the hood. Under the fuse panel cover is a diagram showing which fuse is which.. Simply replace that fuse..
the second fuse if any (some vehicles have them) is in the kick panel under the dash board. Just like the fuse box under the hood, the cover has a diagram showing which fuse is which .. simply replace it..

2.) the second most common problem is the relay.. There are 2 locations that the relay will be ,, The first is in the fuse panel under the hood. look at the diagram to determine the fuel pump relay and change it.. The second location id under the dashboard.. Locate the cars computer under the dash,, and you will notice 4 - 5 wires connecting to a relay box,, thats the pump relay,, simply open the box and replace the relay..

Now if both thge above isnt your problem the relay is controlled by the ignition switch (tumbler), now what happens is this trips the relay to tun on the pump,, The switch may be shorting or damaged or the wires fallen off,, replace the switch,, (this is a very rare issue)..

good luck..

Check the Fuse Box inside for a Blown Fuse with a Really Good Flashlight. You will be able to see which one is Blown. Then Locate the Fuse Relay Box under the Hood and look at the Diagram inside the Cover and Locate the Illumination Relay, Replace this if you cannot Find a Blown Fuse. Please Rate My Response!
