Whats the part number for a front passenger side lower ball joint on a 96 dodge stratus?

Your better off have it done bt a tech because you need a press to press them out and in. Also you will have a warranty witk the work. You want to be safe messing with your steering and suspension. I hope this helps.

can it not be done without removing the hub ?? dont think you can get hub off without removing the track control ball joint?do you have the right tools??

to remove the axles, remove brake caliper and disc, remove hub assembly, the center hub/axle nut and...(there are i think 3-4 bolts on the back side of the spindle to remove the hub), you may have to force the hub off the spindle with a hammer or air hammer... once the hub is out the axle should slide out of the front differential allowing access to the ball joint nuts for removal...

Could possibly need the steering box adjusted. It might be a little loose. And tire balance usually makes it shimmy. Could have a broken belt in one of the tires. Jack up the wheel and spin the tire and check the run out. (look for a wiggle when spinning the tire).

The easiest way is too remove the whole knuckle and remove the joint on a bench. The Ball Joint is in the knuckle, not in the lower control arm. Try to not break pinch bolt on lower strut clamp. Hope this helps.. :-) Cobra
