The following steps explain how to program the side door window regulator motors:

  1. Press and hold the power window switch until the window is fully DOWN. Continue holding the power window switch for approximately 3 seconds.

  2. Press and hold the power window switch until the window is fully UP. Continue holding the power window switch for approximately 3 seconds.

  3. The power window regulator motor is now programmed for the express function.

I replaced my starter for my van, but it still wont start, yet all the lights and windows work perfectly fine. what could it be?

Check your battery voltage. It may be enough to operate the accessories but not enough to start the engine. Use a volt meter on the battery or buy a plug in volt meter that can be used in the cigarette lighter. Auto stores sell them. The voltage reading should be a minimum 12 volts, if it drops below 10 volts while turning the ignition key, then the battery needs to be charged or replaced. Good luck!

My back window wont roll back up. They are automatic and the other three still work fine.

It could be a faulty switch if not the window regulator or motor need to be replaced.

1987 dakota, will not crank over, battery, starter fine, whats wrong?

If automatic could possibly be safety engage on shifter; or if automatic could be the safety switch on clutch. On auto try to rock vehicle and reengage shifter. Standard check clutch switch.

2001 Ford focus se automatic wont start. Makes clicking noise when you turn the key. Replaced starter and still clicks and doesn't start for awhile. Is it the battery...fuel pump....spark plugs...?

Battery-that should be checked first, remove it and take it to a Pep Boys, Advance or Auto Zone for a load test (free)-99% of the time, it is NOT the starter with your symptoms.

Replaced battery and now every window but drivers wont go down

for the windows to do down automatically you have to program them yourself. All you do is turn ignition on. use the window switch on the door of the window you are using. How the button down until window goes all the way down, pause about 1 second, then the same thing going up. But don't stop holding the button down, or up. Hold down during the pause down, and hold up when going up.

Auto window motor is schizophrenic

It is most likely that the Window Regulator, located inside the door panel, needs to be replaced.

Consult a local Auto-Store for parts pricing and installation information if necessary.

Driver window auto down and up not working after replaced the bat

You have to press and hold the window button till it's unwound all the way down then hold it for a further 2 seconds, do the same with it on the up setting - this will reset the auto switch. Worked on my Accord after I changed the battery.
