How to remove the ignition coil from 86 Lincoln town car

the enginr oil pressure switch runs the fuel pump till the oil pressure is up to the normal operating range. When the pressure is up the relay kicks in and takes over the power to the pump. The oil pressure switch my be at fault if you can no hear the pump running when you turn the key on

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.

1. Remove the window switch plate.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. CAUTION: Use care not to damage the trim panel covers.
   Open the screw covers.

1. Remove the screws and the assist handle.

1. Remove screws and the front door trim.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

SOURCE: 1995 lincoln town car ignition turns car on but

my 95 has the same problem. The ignition actuator is broke. It is located in the steering column . This is two plastic pieces that are connected by a small metal pin.My problem is getting the items out of the column without taking the whole car apart. I have the wheel off but need to know what to do next. I am VERY open for advise.
