Have you tried using a lens cleaner? Could be a dirty laser lens!

Have you tried playing other cd's? Does it do it with all cd's?
Have you tried just putting in one cd instead of 6 and trying?

Testimonial: "Yes. I tried with only one in the cd port. Sometimes it will pay for a little while or quit right away. Tried about everything."

Turns out this is common problem. Am giving a video link that says sometimes disconnecting the battery can help reset the player.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFvHl-MR...

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio
must likely the cd is stock or more likely the cd drive motor is defective .
FIRST try pushing eject on radio and see CD comes out if not you need a new radio .

I HAVE A 2002 MUSTANG GT. THE CD PLAYER IS MESSING UP AND HAS BEEN FOR A WHILE NOW. IT KEEPS TELLING ME CD ERROR AS SOON AS IT IS STARTED. IF I PUSH THE LOAD BUTTON IT TELLS ME ALL THE SLOTS ARE FULL, BUT...

Sound like the cd player itself has the issue. It will have a small sensor in the player to tell the user if all the slots are full with cd's or not. thats either gummed up or blocked from doing its proper job. as far as the cd error goes, thats your laser. If its still the stock 6 disc cd changer, its a good time for you to concider changing out that cd deck.
good luck bro

My cd player has stopped working in my 2004 odyssey - it reads "disc error"

Try the basic first, go and pick up one of Maxell CD-AUTO Automotive CD Lens Cleaner and see if this might solve the problems. When a factory cd player give an error basically it become inoperative/faulty and it will be difficult fix it your self unless you some some electronics background and the have the radio schematic. Its not worth fixing by sending to your local electronics repair shop unless you attached to it. All electronics tend to fail soon or later and some has better luck than others. After market radio will be as good or better than your stock radio. Keep in mind, the radio in your vehicle is mass produced cheap, saving the auto manufacture allot of money. You can look on ebay which list from 80 bucks to 140 dollars for stock replacement radio fairly cheap and I don't recommend getting it from the dealer which they will charge you 500-600 bucks for new one.
Hope that help some

MY 2005 PONTIAC G6 6 DISC CD CHANGER IS SCREWED UP, IT GOT STUCK SWITCHING BETWEN DISCS AND I PULLED THE RADIO FUSE THINKING IT WOULD HELP RESET IT, NOW IT'S SAYING THERE'S NO DISC(THERE'S 6 IN THERE) AND...

yeah dude that happened to me, i put subs in my 05 g6, it supposedly happens when the battery dies or u undo the batter, so i took it too a dealership and they tried making me pay $30 for them to tell me it doesn't work so being the angry person i gave them a few choice words and got out of the nice 30 bucks but they will make u pay for a new stock system for a nice $350 bucks which i told them to go screw themselves and i put the dash kit in so i could read the mpg temp and all that and just put a dvd player in it was better and looks better. and to get ur discs out u pull the stock system out get a screw driver and pliers and start taking the junk apart to get them

Eer cd problems

Some recordable compact disc media, such as CD-R and CD-RW, may not comply with the standard CD format used in automotive CD players. When these CD's are used, customers may encounter error messages, skipping, or delaminating of the labels, which can cause an eject failure. It is important to question whether these kinds of CD media are being used. When customers encounter these symptoms, check the system with a known playable CD. Explain that the media may not be compatible with some automotive CD players. Replacing or exchanging the CD player will not address these issues.
