Why are VSC, Engine, & TRC Off lights always on? I've tried to change the air filter with a new one. Now the car can accelerate only until 50 km/h, then car will stop. It seems that the car is choking

The VSC and TRC lights are on because the check engine light is on. Anytime the check engine light is on the other safety features will be disabled and those lights will be illuminated.

Have the engine computer scanned for codes. Once you know the codes you will know what direction to head into to make a repair. Once the repair has been made the code(s) can be cleared and the other two lights will also turn off.

How does the vsc+trc and engine check light on

vehicle stability control and traction control work together so if one turns on the other usually turns on at the same time, the fact the engine light turned on as well makes me think it could be a voltage issue. possibly weak battery. tsc and trc are very sensitive to voltage changes and so are emission control on the engine. so in theory the low voltage would cause all three light to turn on. a generic drb2 would be able to scan the engine light code, so if it has anything pertaining to voltage I am sure that would be your problem

No power in 5th gear

Hi Pocketlock.
Have you tried tuning it up?
Try changing your spark plugs, wires, and change your air filter. You can also put an injector cleaner in your gas tank. (Techron or Seafoam are good products, Techron is better in my opinion). You should see a difference in engine performance. Hope this helps.

Check/change air filter.
Check/change spark plugs & plug wires. The wires can be check with an OHM meter, and the specs for the resistance in the manual. So can the ignition coils.
Change fuel filter...easy.
Last, if you have scanner...check MAF(mass air flow sensor) for operating specs...5g/sec at idle to 300gal/sec+ @ 3,000 RPM.

2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

The VSC TRAC and TRAC OFF lights come on everytime the CHECK ENGINE light comes on. I think you just need to get the light reset.
