Because the bulb(s) are blown - is one guess. Most factory radio lighting is tied to the dashboard lights. You can tell for sure if the radio lighting used to dim when you adjust the dashboard lighting intensity. If they were separate, then it could be a problem with a connection at the back of the radio or internal.

No , no fuse just for the lights ! There is one fuse for the radio and if it plays , the fuse is good ! The LED display is bad or a solder joint cracked inside the radio ,maybe ! Probably need a new radio !

Which fuse maintains power to clock in a 2006 vw jetta 2.5 when ignition is turned off

Hello,

Well--do you have a test light? They are about $5.
What you are describing is called a 'constant hot' which comes directly from the battery and this wire usually has an 'inline' fuse. You can pop the hood, find the battery, and try to trace the wire from the battery to the radio. There are two types of fuses used--a tube (glass tube) and a blade (standard and micro). If by happenstance your radio is fused at the fuse box under the dash inside the vehicle you can use the test light by touching the metal part of the fuse to see which one lights up. I am assuming you are trying to bypass the safety switch for the display on the radio (e.g. DVD player). You can tap into the 'hot' fuse with a spade (a type of connection) to the 'display' wire coming from the back of the radio.
I hope this helps.

Kia radio no display after jump cable start - fuse not blown

Hi i had sa me issue jump started my kia rio radio display was blank. To fix open your fusebox inside the car Pull out both audio fuses your fuse puller should be in the fuse box under the hood. Yes you have two fuse boxes. One inside you car and one under the hood with your engine. wait few minutes say five... Put the fuse back in. Btw its not neccesary to pull the fuse all the way out. Your radio should show cde error... Now you will need to put in your four digit pin...gluck thanks to the guy on the internet who said pull out the memory fuse... Not that i understood till now.

Automatic lights don't work, and the dash, temp/radio/dome lights don't work? are the fuses the problem?

Yes without a dought, cheapies way is to change all fuses on inside of car, however you also have fuses under the hood. Those fuses will be in a protective box. Check inside ones first, read fuse labels, if none of the above is there, then they will be under the hood.

Need to know which fuse it is that my radio display runs on in my 03jeep cherokeee

there is not a separate fuse for the radio display, if the radio works then the miniature bulb inside the radio that back-lights the display is burned out, u must remove the radio and take the cover off the top of the radio, there u will find the tiny bulb socket that is behind the display, the bulb is avail at any arts store for around $2
