There are numerous causes for the check engine warning light to display.

You need to have the vehicle scanned for fault codes to see what fault codes the vehicle's computer has generated. Once that has been done the mechanics can diagnose the causes of those fault codes and then make what ever repairs or parts replacements that may be needed. It may only be a minor issue. You cannot assume what the likely problem might be and replace parts and hope for the best.
I suggest you either get the car to Holden service or to an independent mechanic who is familiar with the Cruze and has the necessary diagnostic equipment.

I recommend you take your vehicle to a holden dealership and get them to put tech2 on it and check for diagnostic trouble codes.

Possible cause could be a crank angle sensor.
