This is a problem consistent with a loose power steering belt or motor belt, im not sure about this model It may just use one belt called a serpentine belt but basically you will need to tighten the adjuster, When you open your hood you should see a diagram usually in the passenger side in the very front to show you where the adjuster is, you may need to use a crescent wrench or you might be able to use a ratchet with a socket which is much easier but basically you need to tighten it so there is very little play in the belt, if you live in an environment where the climate change is very dramatic from summer to winter, you will have to tighten it in the summer and loosen it in the winter, just a few turns and your good to go. About 5 minutes worth of work. If you need more detailed help on how to tighten or locate your belt send me an email at kustom42 at gmail.com and I can look all that up for you.

Why does my car make sqealing sound when I start it ?

it could be a belt that is loose a little or is worn out and requires replacement. it could also be a weak auto tensioner for the belt.

05 legacy sqealing sound when I'm stopped and turn

All symptoms of a loose or worn drive belt. As the belt wears, it develops slick spots that slip instead of grab. Since the main drive belt drives the power steering and alternator, this would be consistent with your issue.

Loud sqealing noise temperature gauge light went on temperature needle shot up coolant on driveway when parked

Sounds like your water pump has seized or the belt is slipping so bad that its over heating and forcing water out of the radiator

Have a belt sqealing and antifreeze in the engine

Hi:
There is a good chance your waterpump bearings failed, and your belt was getting dragged over the drive pulley. Since your engine got hot, the impeller that moves coolant could have broken, so you should investigate that. The coolant could have leaked out the weap hole on the front of the water pump.

Car makes a loud sqealing sound when i start it

I think you should start by putting a new belt on. This may solve the problem.
