A bad Idle air control will cause this! your car will have abnormal idling. Highly fluctuating idling or sporadic stalling, You can remove the IAC and clean it with throttle body cleaner, It may be all carboned up, It is located on or near the throttle body. god-Bless! hope this helps you. This part regulates the air entering engine, if not enough vehicle will stall.

Sounds like a transmission problem. Change the transmission filter and fluid and make sure it is topped off to the proper level. Have the transmission checked out to ensure there isn't a problem in the torque converter.

The jet keep on letting out to much fuel

The float in the carb is sticking..Buy a can of carb clean and spray it down as good as you can..In every hole and what you can get to...Alot of times this will work without having to take it off and clean it..After you spray it down really good let it sit for about 20 min. That will give it enough time to break down theat old gummy gas build up..After letting it sit Start it up..You may have to hold the gas pedal to the floor in order to start it because of the over satutration of the cleaner..After letting it run for awhile let it idle and go under the hood with it still idling and rev the motor up and closing the choke at the same time..You may have to rev it up a little high..When you rev it up and the motor is racing quick close the choke and the motor will start to die down and rev it a little with the choke on..What this does is by closing the choke when its reving up is it sucks all that crud build up out .You may have to do that a few times but it works great..Good Luck and Have a great day

1979 cj replased carb idles tohigh

Even with a rebuilt carb you have to make the adjustments. Check the choke adjustment and set the fast idle. If choke is to tight it will be hard to start and take a long time to idle down. The fast idle sounds like it is high also.

1995 Mitsubishi L300 Van 2ltr aspirated motor, Automatic choke revs extremely high on cold start, will not decelerate till engine is hot. How can I remedy this?

If it's carburetor & has automatic choke, then there is probably a screw at side of carb, by step cam that moves with choke . Back it of a little at a time until you get desired cold idle speed. Make sure you turn step cam to setting it would normally be when cold, and choke on, then turn screw out to lower rpm's. Look for a little rod from choke shaft, down to base or side of carb area, to step cam.

Intake manifold gasket is the most common cause of un-even idle.

IAC (Idle air control) motor is a small motor that adjust the idle.
In a cold AM,start up the car and turn on headlght, high beam,ac and radio.

Look for the IAC to see does it back down the idle as you shut off one item as a time.

IAC can be lube and save.
