After driving nearly all day at highway speeds, dry conditions stopped to gas up; car would not start, no crank no clicking, nothing. Jump started. I don't know why it won't start without a jump start.

What have you done to check for possible issue ? Have you been current with the maintenance of your car ? When was last time you performed a tune up, to include air and fuel filter replacements ? Do you have any codes or check engine light ? The more detail information you can add, the better we can assist.
Hi, You would use drive 4 for highway driving. Drive 3 is good for in town driving with stop and go traffic. Drive 1and 2 are for snowy and muddy conditions at slow speeds. Enjoy, Wayne
Make sure your distruibutor rotor in turning while cranking engine, if it is timing belt ok, more then likely your not getting spark to spark plugs check your ignition coil, but more then likely it's going to be your ignition module.
whaddya mean seems like no spark. There's no such thing as "seems like no spark. There either is or isn't and it's easy to tell. remove spark plug lay against good ground and crank. you'll see it for crissse sake.
Not getting gas is a fuel delivery problem, fuse, pump, or relay.
On sunday pray for it. all the other days cuss it out.
Well it absolutely sounds like an alternator issue. But i noticed you said "in the rain" correct? See this is where it gets tricky for most folks. But ill tell ya how to resolve this, if you arent having problems now things are gonna be just fine. I mean if you got up the next morning and th ecar did normal, then evidentally an electrical component had some moisture in it but has dried out now,so if it was the alternator the problem would only worsen, and within a few days your battery would fail. So I think you will be just fine
Does the engine sound different when it cranks? It might be a timing belt concern? Remove the oil cap and look for the camshaft.(you might need a flashlight).Have a partner crank the engine and watch the cam. If it stays still you have a bad timing belt.Let me know what you find.
block gas filter when you drive gas pressure go truh the filter pack it up less pressure car stall some gas go back ih tank unpack the filter if it would be electrical it wouldnt start (ingniter.or coil) check it out hope it fixya our post thanks pierre
