to replace the drive belts on a 2004 kia rio 1.6 engine you must remove the passenger tire the plastic shroud have a 10 12 14 and 17 mm wrench and sockets there are 2 bolts you must loosen first make that 3 one is behind the power steering pump pulley its a 14 mm and is very hard to get too then one under the alternator also 14 mm loosen that one too then loosen the tentioner bolts to the alternator and the power steering pump use a pry bar and remove the power steering belt fist then the alternator belt then put it all back together the job will take about 3 hours min then do your self a favor and get rid of that pos they are absolute junk and have the worst crash rating of any car ever tested if you get into a head on coalition you will die!!!LARRY BROAD MECHANIC ASE CERTIFIED

I have an audi a3 tdi sport 2003 the seat belt won't pull over enough for it to buckle in to get it fastened any idea on how to fix it

I think the seat belt have a twist and it went into the seat belt housing. Pull the seat belt all the way out hard and un do the twist and let it go back into the seat belt housing. This should fix this problem

CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING,will not restart ,crank shaft very hard to turn by hand with all belts off timing belt and timing marks are perfect.3.0l camry

Oooh, your timing belt is OK? and the engine is hard to turn? You may have suffered an engine seizure due to oil starvation. Some Toyota Camry engines around this year suffered bad sludging, leading to this. If you take the spark plugs out, place the trans in neutral, and the engine is still hard to turn at the crank pulley, oooh, I think it is partly seized, sorry.

If not, I think the timing belt jumped a tooth or 2 (if old), or the fuel supply dropped pressure, or the spark failed at the igniter.

I was drifting with my durango 02 in mud and now my steering is super hard to turn I have to use all my muscles to turn it ...there is no loud sounds and I check the fluid and it's fine ... What do u think...

check power steering drive belt tension or check steering pump by removing drive belt and turning pump manually. i do my own fixing and buy parts on ebay they're cheaper and you can find free shipping too just make sure to give the correct car info.

How much does it cost to fix the powering steering belt?

That is hard for me to say, I wouldn't think it should be too much. I would think you could change a belt in an hour so most shops have a 1 hour minimum on labor charges and you should be able to buy a belt for less than 40-50 dollars tops. I would think that depending on your local labor rate that 140-150 tops.

I have a 2004 trailblazer and i am having a bad chirping noise from the belt and pulley area.I poured some water on the chirping stopped. is this a sign that the belt is the problem

Replacing the belt is the least expensive thing you can do to fix a belt chirp. I think the belt is around $30-$40 if I recall and takes just 5-10 minutes to swap out. Otherwise, you're looking at a pulley problem, or waterpump starting to go out, or the belt tensioner and so on....

Belt slipped off 1990 oldsmobile 98

When the pump is not turning and you steer the vehicle it will sometimes force the fluid out of the pump. There's a good chance the pump is fine, just make sure you add fluid before you drive it.

2003 s type jaguar sealt belt on the passenger side will not pull down,I think it is twisted. How can I fix this myself?

its kind of hard as the cover needs to come off and the catch that comes up with the belt causing it to lock needs to be held down so the twist can pass back through.

Vuibration in floor trouble shifting hyundai santa fe

First of all, the clutch is unrelated to the timing belt. How many miles on the vehicle (more than 60,000?). If so, when did you have the timing & balance belt replaced (at or before 60,000 miles I hope). Without a proper diagnosis, it's impossible to help you here. Take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).
