Hi Prentice, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Prentice, the Throttle Pedal Sensor is located in the gas pedal that your foot is on. If you will notice there is an electrical connector on the pedal assembly. That's the sensor. If it doesn't have an electrical pedal then it's mounted on the throttle body. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/

2005 malibu IAC valve location

That vehicle doesn't have a IAC valve. That vehicle has TAC - electronic throttle control.

Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Description
Purpose
The throttle actuator control (TAC) system delivers improved throttle response and greater reliability and eliminates the need for mechanical cable. The TAC system performs the following functions:
• Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensing
• Throttle positioning to meet driver and engine demands
• Throttle position sensing
• Internal diagnostics
• Cruise control functions
• Manage TAC electrical power consumption
The TAC system includes the following components:
• The APP sensors
• The throttle body assembly
• The powertrain control module (PCM)
Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor
The accelerator pedal contains 2 individual accelerator pedal position (APP) sensors within the assembly. The APP sensors 1 and 2 are potentiometer type sensors each with 3 circuits:
• A 5-volt reference circuit
• A low reference circuit
• A signal circuit
The APP sensors are used to determine the pedal angle. The powertrain control module (PCM) provides each APP sensor with a 5-volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The APP sensors provide the PCM with signal voltage proportional to the pedal movement. Both APP sensor signal voltages are low at rest position and increase as the pedal is applied.
Throttle Body Assembly
The throttle assembly contains the following components:
• The throttle blade
• The throttle actuator motor
• The throttle position (TP) sensor 1 and 2
• The throttle actuator control (TAC) module
The throttle body functions similar to a conventional throttle body with the following exceptions:
• There is no longer an idle air control (IAC) motor and associated air passages.
• An electric motor opens and closes the throttle valve.
• The TAC module is located within the throttle body assembly.
• The throttle blade is spring loaded in both directions and the default position is slightly open.
• There are 2 individual TP sensors within the throttle body assembly.
The TP sensors are used to determine the throttle plate angle. The TP sensors provide the powertrain control module (PCM) with a signal voltage proportional to throttle plate movement. Both TP sensor signal voltages are low at closed throttle and increase as the throttle opens.

Is the throttle sensor located at the accelerator pedal in a 2012 Jeep Patriot, Latitude (with 2.4 liter engine & automatic transmission, front wheel drive)?

There is one at the pedal and one at the throttle body. The one at the pedal tells the computer what throttle you want, and the one on the throttle tells the computer where the throttle is. Usually, if there is a fault code for the pedal sensor it will say "sensor A" and a problem st the throttle body sensor will say "sensor B", but not always.

there is no pedal sensor... there is a throttle position sensor located on the throttle body (near the MAF). Replacing it is simple and self explanatory once you locate it.

Where is the TPS sensor located,2004 Nissan Titan 5.6 v-8

The 2004 nissan titan is drive by wire, meaning there is no cable to control the gas pedal to throttle.
This system is computer controlled with a motor at throttle body and pedal sensors.

the TPS throttle position sensor is located inside the throttlebody . on most of these the complete throttle body must be replaced as there is no sperate tps sensor it is complete,
i would check and make sure this is the problem . GM started making TPS replacement sensors for there throttle bodies.

Whare is the TPS sensor located on a huyndai 2007 2.7 L? Does the throttle body have to be replaced along with the TPS sensor. Is the replacement sensor rivited to the throttle body? Scott

on the hyundai the tps rarely fails. so check the pedal sensor on pedal of car. there are 2 sensors on this car, one on side of carburator, and one at accelerater pedal check this one first. the throttle body does not need to be changed to fix the tps. but usually it is located on the throttle body. at the throttle plate.
