hi not sure what you mean by fuel volume regulator fuel pump ect is underneath the car near the rear wheel right hand side of the car the sender unit which tell how much fuel is in tank is at the top of the petrol tank meaning a full tank removan unless there is a cap under the rear seat part which gives access to top of tank then it goes to manifold and injectors the relay for the pump is usualy in the boot next to the battery

are the wires under the seat conected properly check fuses or relays if these are ok its probably the heat mat under the seat its self dont think there that expensive to replace cheers ivan

Most likely the relay, located beside the motor is faulty. The contacts get sticky. The relay is about 30.00. Take the plastic cover off the motor and you will see the relay. Its a standard type so most decent shops will have them.

Must be the ASR control module

This symptom almost always points to a mechanical issue, not an electrical one. The SLK hardtop is notorious for needing to be lubricated every couple of years. Here is a link with directions and photos:

Sticking joints are the most common culprit to intermittent raising and lowering problems. Once those have been lubricated and that has been checked off the list, then look into electrical issues.

when looking at the engine from the from the front of the vehicle ,to the right of the engine is a black screw of cap on a black reservoir .
