Sorry about two pictures. Found this on youtube, video showing how to remove blower motor. In the text, you can see years listed and it says l300. In the video, they removed windshield cowl to get at blower motor. The cowl is at base of windshield on the outside. you can check out the video and see what you think? good luck.
The linkages or inside the door panel may have come off on the door lock. The best way to check the problem is to remove the panels and simulate the locking of the doors. You should see if there are parts that may have come off or had loosened up.
You are probably hearing the front stabilizer links going out. they are ball jointed on both ends and run to the struts. When they start to go, they thump a lot over small holes and cracks in the pavement. Also the lower control arm bushings may be at fault, especially if you have had a fender bender. I would start with the stabilizer links (it's a do-it-yourself project) and then go from there. A good way to check the links is to have someone rock the truck side to side while you hold the link (reach around the back of the tire and grab it) if you feel play in it or it moves too easily or is disconnected or broken, you need to replace it.
Turn the key to the on position and plug in a scan tool and scan the computer. use the trouble code and go to mitchell on demand and search the trouble code and the program will tell you what is malfunctioning and how to fix it.
most likely the blower motor squirrel cage hit the fan housing or the motor has a damaged bearing from the impact, the noise is coming from the fan which is on the passenger side, pull the fan assembly out and see if the blower cage is damaged, if it spins true then replace the blower motor, not a very hard job.
The fan assembly moved out of position during impact. Loosen the assembly, and remove for inspection. Sometimes leaves or debris come out of a vent during impact, and lie against the rotating squirrel cage assembly---thus the annoying noise.
