You would need way more than Steven said. So no. Don't use it.

Since they are not both 3.4 engines, you could have a bunch of changes to make, including the engine computer.
The exhaust, cooling, and motor mounts would probably be different too.
So the engine would fit since both cars used both engines, but it could be a major project to get it to run.

HOW TO REMOVE 4T60E TRANSMISSION FROM A 96 Z34 MONTE CARLO?

You don't have to pull it to replace the TCC. Remove the pan and you can access the TCC solenoid. 40b12bb6-08f8-4f1c-b959-9bfe6f7b08fb.gif

The monte carlo does not have a inertia switch you have a relay that would need to be changed out which is located under the hood of the vehicle.

Timing belt broke on our 95 z34 monte carlo. Is this an intreference motor? And do i have to replace the water pump, or can i get to it w/o going through the timing belt again?

If the car is a 95 it should be a freewheel non interference. if it's a late 95 or 96 then it is an interference. You will need to replace guide pullys and the tensoner. I will worn you it's a real pain to do. no room for your hands

Looking for speedometer sencor location on a 95

It should be mounted in the transmission housing itself, near the output shaft, or possibly half way up a cable coming from the transmission.

My 1997 monte carlo z34 3.4 engin is holding high rpms

I had a similar problem on a 3.4 Lumina Z34. It was a leaking intake gasket. Be careful with the plastic vaccumn lines as they will get brittle.
