On either side of the boot interior, there are what look like air vents. these clip out from the top (with a flat screwdriver) you then unbolt the light unit, pull it out. the bulb holder then unclips easily.

I have a Yaris 1.0 VVTi T2 which is 2005 reg. I assume this is the right /left hand brake light. To change the brake light bulb, there is a plastic clip-on cover in the boot - just behind the brake lights assembly. Press the clip and it comes off easily.

The brake light bulb is held on a plastic holder. Twist and gently remove the holder. The bulb is a bayonet type. Change the bulb and insert the holder back into place.

Place back the plastic cover and job done!

SOURCE: how do i change the gear oil for a toyota yaris

There should be a drain plug on the bottom of the gearbox. Unlike engine oil, usually the filling location for gear oil is on the side of the gearbox. You use a syringe or a specialised tool to get the gearoil in, and when it gets up to the level of the hole it's full. However I do agree with agent91 that your clutch is a more likely cause. there are some tests you can do to check the health of your clutch e.g. drive along in 4th at 40, clutch down, rev to redline, snap out clutch keeping your foot on throttle, and if revs don't drop to the correct speed in around a second you're slipping.

Fuse 35 covers them, but also covers other important things like the electric power steering. DRL are also a function of the Body Control Module. You need an Auto Electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

Changing front brake pads

You shouldn't need to remove the calipers altogether just to replace the pads. You have remove the split pins or retaining springs on the old pads, then prize back the caliper pistons enough to remove them. Then push the pistons back some more enough to get the new pads in. Then reassemble and test.
