Truck will start, but when idle it lopes. If you press the gas down for awhile and let off it stops. Just replaced fuel filter and tuned it up.

Engine idles rough at red lights begins loping rpms drop to almost killing, then cycles back to normal, then repeats rough idle drop in rpms and loping, back and forth until I rev engine or take off

You could have a clogged fuel filter, if you haven't changed it in awhile. You could have a leak in the intake system somwhere also. When you slow down, you get less power to the engine. It may need spark plugs and wires as well, if in need for a tune up.

I have a 1994 toyota pickup 1/2 ton, and i have to press the gas pedal when i'm on stop light, because if not the engine goes off

YOU NEED TO ADJUST IDLE SPEED TO 750 RPM FOR THE 2.4L ENGINE AND THE 3.0L ENGINE IDLE SPEED NEEDS TO BE 800 RPM.THAT IS THE REASON WHY TRUCK STALLING YOU NEED REALLY TUNE UP ENGINE THEN ADJUST IDLE SPEED.

It will not idle correctly. It starts loping then eventually dies. You have to put it in neutral or park when you stop and rev the engine a little to keep it from dying. It starts easily and runs fine...

It might be that it could be in a desperate need of a tune-up, or a Major Tune UP. The symptoms sounds like what was going on with mine, until I got a major Tune up.

I have 97 dodge ram 1500. Once tha truck reaches operating temp. it will stall at idle. Some times you drive it and it runs fine then you stop at a store get a snack and then it wont start with out pumping...

A few things actually lol. How long since its last tune up? A dirty air filter, worn spark plugs and wires and cap and rotor can cause a poor idle and stalling. Not to mention a dirty fuel filter. The fuel filter is in the gas tank unfortunatlly :(
Try giving it a basic tune up " about 45 dollars" and see if that helps. Good luck.

Very high idle at start, slowly idles down after hot. Replaced ICV, sometimes lopes, can shut down, restart, idles right.

change fuel filter. add can of SEAFOAM(parts store) to 1/2 tank of PREMIUM gas. let car idle 3-5 minutes. drive hard at least 10 miles.

you have what I call Ethanol Gas Syndrome. the ethanol gets in your system adds water and turns fuel to brown goop, it also carbonizes valves, injectors, and emission parts.

you might want to change f filter after 500 miles(again). add SF every 3-5000 miles, and this will clean the carbon; fix the gas and fuel system, and dry the water. good luck.
