2000. Where is the thermostat located? - DTS Cadillac Cars & Trucks

The thermostat housing is located on top and front of the engine. You will see a large radiator housing coming from it. There are 4 bolts to open the housing (15mm) and hose clamp(s) to loosen on the radiator hose. Once removed just pull out the 2 thermostats. When you are replacing the thermostat(s)-the gasket(s) for the housing are on the attached to the new thermostats- As you probably noticed when pulling out the old ones.

For 2000 Cadillac Deville 4.6L SFI DOHC 8cyl need to remove the air intake duct, then disconnect the radiator hose and remove the thermostat housing to remove the thermostat.

1. On 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8
2. Remove lower radiator hose clamp and lower radiator hose at thermostat housing.
3. Remove thermostat housing mounting bolts, thermostat housing and thermostat.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0l v6Note:on the In-line 6 4.0L model the thermostat housing is mounted at the top of the engine block next to the water pump.

dont know if this helps much but I can tell you from experience that the thermostat is usually found on the engine side of the upper radiator hose so if you follow that to the engine you can usually locate the thermostat housing

Thermostats are located inbetween the engine and the radiator. Most of the time there is the top radiator hose coming off of where the thermostat is mounted.

Hello,\ The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing at the engine side end of the upper radiator hose. You have to drain the engine coolant from the radiator until it is below the level of where the thermostat is.

Your thermostat is located under the thermostat housing, which is what the upper radiator hose clamps to on the top of your engine. Basically, you need to start with a cold engine, drain your radiator, then unclamp the upper radiator hose from the engine. Remove the bolts from the thermostat housing, and gently tap on it to remove it. clean up the mounting surfaces on both the engine and the housing, and install a new thermostat, and new gasket. tighten to proper torque, reconnect the radiator hose, then refill up the radiator and cooling system.

if you follow the top radiator hose to the engine you will find the thermostat...there shuld be a clamp holding the hose on the housing and there are two bolts that hold the thermostat housing on. once you pull the two bolts you will see the thermostat

Your thermostat is inside of a housing unit. You follow your radiator to the tube that goes out the top of your radiator. That tube goes to your thermostat housing unit where your thermostat is located.
