I be driving along the road and the car stalls and all the ignition lights come up on the dash. I pull to the side of the road and starts straight up again and all good to go again.

This is a long shot, But check the wire that comes from alternator, to battery. It may be loose at alt. or bad. This happened to my car a while back. God-Bless!

I am driving down the road and for no reason the engine stalls

Hi BigJoe,

Have you had any issues with your keys/ignition?

I have a Cherokee and a Wrangler. The Cherokee's ignition switch started getting flaky a while back. Sort of doing what you describe.

On mine, engine would die, dash lights out, like the ignition was turned off.

I'd give the tilt a bang and everything was back to normal. I got a replacement at a junk yard for $5.00.

The key symptom is, do the dash lights go out when the engine dies?

If not, disregard.

Mike
