I have an 2003 Isuzu Rodeo automatic 2wd when ever i take off from a complete stop going in to 2nd gear it sounds like ****, like the transmission is slamming into gear or struggling to. There also is no...

Look at the passenger side of the trans, toward the front. There's a black plug, about 2 or 3 inches in diameter that commonly leaks. They only leak when the truck is in 4th gear so it won't appear to be actively leaking, although if it is there will be fluid all over the bottom of the trans, and will probably be almost coffee brown in color. The part is called an transmission accumulator cover, and is available for relatively cheap. It's not an easy fix, though.

Location of transmission dipstick on 2002 isuzu rodeo

Hello, Unfortuanetly the Rodeo does not have a dipstick and you must have a service technician check your transmission fluid by removing bolts on the tranny as if your were going to drain the transmission. I hope this helps you with your problem. A technician should not charge to much to do this for you either.
