SOURCE: 92 ford thunderbird's driver's side seat belt

I am assuming that the passenger shoulder belt works properly and that the fuses are good. Do you hear the electric motor run when you are seated in the car and turn the ignition key? If so the motor will "time out" after about 15 seconds and automatically turn off. There are two (2) switches one in the front and one in the rear of the track. These could be faulty. Most likely if you hear the motor run, the switch that actuates it is working and of course the motor is too. The most common failure is the flexible plastic ladder track breaking inside the track. The plastic gets brittle over time and breaks.Unfortunately, these are quite expensive...like $170 each. Hope this helps. M. Davis, ASE Master Automobile Technician

The blinkers on are ford don't work we tried to but in fuses but all the fuses work

If the lights come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. Your Thunderbird has 2 flasher relays. One for the Turn signals and one for the Hazard lights. The turn signal relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in lower corner of fuse block . The hazard relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in rear of fuse block. Replace the one for the Turn Signals.
