New water pump, drive belt tensioner and aux drive belt all fitted to x type jaguar and still leaking coolant under car

I would start at my coolant hoses there is one on the rt side of the car check coolant overflow hose and the bottle check heater hoses as well or it might be that the pump isn't sealed or something could be left loose

2005 grand cherokee squealing and loss of coolant

Check belt tension, squeeling is most likely due to belt slippage. Have you noticed any fluid leaking from under your Jeep? Coolant level drop could be from bad water pump, when the pump needs replacing, water flows out of a "weep hole". It could be leaking onto your belt also, causing it to squeel

My 2003 x type Jaguar with 68500 miles is leaking the coolant from the bottom when i fill it it comes back out also is over heating this has never happend before do you know what the problem is?

Have you had the timing service done? Ford owned Jaguar in 03, and their typical service interval for the timing service is every 60k miles. Replacement of the water pump, thermostat, and coolant is part of this service. If it has not been done yet, schedule it immediately (it's expensive and takes several hours by a pro mechanic).

The coolant may be leaking due to a problem with part of your cooling system, or a torn hose, or through the "weep hole" on the pump (which is there by design to let you know that the water pump is wearing out).

I can't stress it enough though - if the timing belt/tensioner/serpentine belt/seals/cooling parts haven't been done yet, you need to do them. For one, to replace whatever part is currently leaking, you may well have to disassemble most of the front of the engine anyhow, so why not do that service while you're at it? And, neglecting to do this service will eventually result in a failed timing tensioner, a broken belt, or both, which will destroy the engine. While this is being done, the cause of your coolant leak and overheating will very likely be solved, as the crucial cooling components will be replaced at that time.

Jaguar X type Water Pump

if the pump is leaking then it needs replacing it sounds like someone in the past has introduced glycol based coolant in to a oat. organic acid tech coolant system THEY DO NOT MIX and go like brown jelly and block things up like heater/ac systems it needs a good flush using a cooling system flushing adative

Coolant Light Comes on, on 1998 Vanden Plas XJ

I dont know if I can solve your problem but it sounds like air is trapped in your cooling system. The part where you lost your heat is an indicator of trapped air or a bad thermostat. Since your thermostat was replaced, I would try to purge the air from the system. I have no Jaguar experience but cooling is cooling. My 2000 buick has the same problem. I replaced the coolant level sensor and still the "low coolant level light" comes on at startup and stays on the whole time the car is running. I recently replaced the water pump and after that everything was fine. Added 50/50 dexcool to top up the system. Coolant level light started coming on during the winter. Checked coolant many many times. Alway full. The electronic troubleshooting check for the sensor is to unnplug the sensor and if the light goes out the sensor is bad. However my sensor is $55 worth of brand new. Not that a brand new part cant be bad, but its highly unlikely. Also two more things, check for a soft radiator hose or heater hose. They collapse sometimes under draw from the water pump, and the water pump may be sucking air through its gasket surface due to improper torque on its bolts, or a crumpled or misaligned gasket as it was being installed. (if it has one)

While driving last night my car noticed that a red light came on briefly and it displayed "Engine coolant is low." My question can I go to a non- Jaquar repair shop to replace/fill the coolant or must I go...

You Can go to a non jaguar automotive supply shop, But be carefull to put the right coolant in, there are two types of coolant lim green in color and red you will need the red type. Fill up to the stated level on the expansion bottle and your away.
Hope this helps

Jaguar x type

I have the same car and had same problem. Your water pump needs to be replaced. That is where the leak is. Not a major job nor that expensive. I recommend using the green 2-year coolant vs. the orange 5-year coolant. The 5 year coolant does not protect well against cavitation (exploding bubbles) which is what caused your water pump leak. (You can research this on the I-net). The standard 2-yr coolant does protect against cavitation.
