You have broken wires running between the door and the car's body in the boot if you pull it back to the rubber boot you will see the wires broke fix this in your problems would go away

rudy5573 Thanks so much for your response. Will I have to remove the dash ? What do you mean by the boot ? Will I still be able to use the regulator/ motor unit that I have or did it burn the unit out ?

The boot is the rubber or plastic that protects the wires so when you open and close the door the wire don't get damaged

99 durango, both front and back passenger side windows dont role down. driver side front and rear role up and down fine

There are a few possible reasons why the front and back passenger side windows on your 99 Durango aren't rolling down:
  1. Faulty window regulator: The window regulator is the mechanism that moves the window up and down. Over time, the regulator can become worn or damaged, making it difficult or impossible to operate the window.
  2. Electrical issue: It's possible that there's an issue with the electrical system that powers the passenger side windows. This could be caused by a blown fuse, a faulty switch, or a problem with the wiring.
  3. Window motor failure: The window motor is responsible for moving the window up and down. If the motor is faulty, the window won't move.
  4. Window switch problem: The window switch could also be the culprit. If the switch is damaged or not functioning properly, the window won't roll down.
To diagnose the issue, you can start by checking the fuses related to the power windows. If the fuses are intact, you can use a voltmeter to check if the switch is receiving power when it's pressed. If the switch is getting power, the problem could be with the window motor or regulator.
If you're not comfortable performing these diagnostic steps, it's best to take your Durango to a qualified mechanic or automotive electrician for further inspection and repair.

My passenger window is stuck up and my 2 back windows fall down and wont roll up

The regulators need replaced in the back ones the front one could be a window motor or a bad switch. Unplug the window motors and hook them up directly to a battery supply of 12 volt power and see if they go up and down. If the motor runs and the track doesnt the cable is broken. If the front window motor doesnt move replace the regulator and motor assembly

Drivers side window has problems rolling back up. might be the wiring...

hi, if it has problems like it is slower than usual and/or gets stuck partial or half way up, you probably have a weak window motor. the motor itself has internal brushes that help the motor spin while engaging the electrical current to the stator. these brushes will become worn and get sticky due to the friction they produce when worn. if you can, remove the door panel and the inner splash guard(plastic liner) and roll the window down, then when rolling back up, apply pressure upward with you hand(help it back up). if it moves quicker, more freely, suspect the window motor. but you can also check the window guides for debris, or rough spots, this can affect the window speed also. the window guides are the part that the window slides in on the end of both sides. they will have rubber or foam linings. only other thing it could be is problems with the regulator. this is the unit that moves the window up and down with the input of the motor. i can't remember if your vehicle has a stamped steel regulator, or a wire driven regulator with plastic wheel. if it has a steel one, check to see if the arm isn't bent or weakened. if it has a wire guided regulator, check to see if there is fraying of the wire like it maybe about to break.

Passenger Side Windows arent working

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER NEED A NEW WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOTOR MAY STILL BE GOOD BUT THE REGULATOR MAY NOT BE ALLOWING THE WINDOW TO ROLL DOWN OR UP, BECAUSE IT IS WORN OUT.

Passenger side power window halfway down

You will need to remove your interior trim panel and check your window regulator for damage and for power going to your window motor. If your regulator is ok and you have power going to the motor then you have a bad window motor. If there is no power at the motor then you will need to check the circuit for the problem ie. blown fuses, broken wiring, bad switch. It is very commen for the motors to go bad. Good luck.

The power window on my truck will come down, but won't go back up. The motor seems to be working fine. I need a diagram of all the parts so I can determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced....

The power window regulator and motor come as am assembly. Usually the cable snaps and the window drops down and won't come back up. About a $400 repair.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Remove the front window regulator.
    • Loosen the two hanger bolts.
    • Remove the front window regulator bolts and front top run channel bolt.

Passenger side front and back window not working.

Once those cables break, the window regulator is history.
Cheapest way is junkyard regulators.
