Hi we are having a debate about vin numbers on the 2010 nissan maxima. Would you be able to tell us how many are there and the locations?

There is only one vin number and it should have a combination of 16 numbers and letters
That number can be found on the fire wall, inner guards , windscreen, door glass , rear window glass. on a chassis , vehicle sub frame or on all of those places
This is done to show the authorities if the car has been stolen and / or contains stolen parts as the vin number will be different on the suspect parts

Almost all vehicles are similar.
There are typically 3 locations:
1) On the dash in front of the driver. Read by looking through the bottom of the windshield.
2) On a plate on the drivers side door frame. Visible when door is open.
2) On the registration documents that are supposed to be kept in the vehicle with proof of insurance.
