Where is the inertia fuel switch on my 2004 Subaru Legacy Wagon

Subaru vehicles do not have inertia switches. That is a Ford item. Your fuel pressure tested good then? Those have main relays up under the dash on the far left of the drivers side, sometimes those do go bad. Your 2004 should have a fuel filter on the left strut tower, if it's never been changed that could be the problem too. I have seen fuel pumps work but the level sender go bad and say there is fuel in the tank when it's actually empty.

It will try to start when adding feul to the carb. But dies out right after on my 1985 chevy celeberty wagon .

As Steve said you need the fuel pressure checked . The cooling fan can be the coolant sensor, relay, fuse, wiring, connection or fan motor . Does the fan run with AC switched ?

2000 Taurus SE station wagon fuel pump how do I know if it's working when I bleed the valve underneath the hood should it a constant spurt not a constant flow or just aspart went the ignition on

The PCM - engine computer will energize the fuel pump relay for two seconds with the key , When cranking the engine the PCM will only energize the fuel pump relay if a crankshaft position input is seen . An testing fuel pump pressure should be done with a fuel pump pressure gauge only .

I have a 1984 Toyota Carib Sprinter 4wd wagon (this is a Toyota Tercel in the States). I'm trying to replace the fuel filter, but don't know how to depressurize the fuel system on this vehicle.

Don't worry about it...as soon as you loosen the fuel filter clamp the pressure will go away. It's not that high. Just wrap a rag around the connection.
You can also pull the fuel pump fuze with the engine running...when engine stops the system is depressurized.
If it has a mechanical fuel pump (?) there will be very little pressure if any in the system.

and the fuel diagram, shows, no such part.! it's not there, in USA car
is it a USA car?
so you are guessing.?
thanks for the goose chase. what a waste.
why not , post the symptoms and get real DIAGNOSTIC help
and avoid this goose chase.

95' camry wagon, fuel pump only comes on when key is turned to start position. if car starts will not stay running. how do i check the fuel pressure regulator /

I don't think the EFI relay is at fault. Other things would be dead if it was, including the starter. See here p177 to test fuel pressure, which may be too low if the fuel pump itself or the pressure regulator is faulty.

Ihave a 1991 honda civic hb and i think i"m having problems with my fuel pump .on this model can i get to the pump from the back seat of this vehicle or due i have to drop the gas tank. also whereis the...

you must remove the fuel tank. see procedure below.

The fuse and relay should be in the engine compartment relay box. Check fuses 2 and 14. The relay might be labeled PGM-FI

1988-91 MODELS

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the fuel tank drain bolt and drain the fuel into a suitable container.
  5. On Civic models (except CRX and Wagon) unplug the fuel pump electrical connector in the trunk. On CRX, remove the storage compartment and unplug the fuel pump electrical connector. On Civic Wagon, remove the rear seat and carefully disengage the fuel pump electrical harness.
  6. On Civic Wagon with 4WD, remove the driveshaft from the rear differential and the exhaust pipe and muffler.
  7. Remove the 2-way valve cover and fuel hose protector.
  8. Unbolt the fuel lines.
  9. Place a suitable support under the fuel tank.
  10. Remove the fuel tank strap nuts and let the straps hang.
  11. Remove the fuel tank.
  12. Remove the fuel pump mounting nuts and the fuel pump.

To install:
  1. Install the pump assembly into the tank and make sure the unit is properly sealed.
  2. Install the tank into the vehicle and tighten the strap nuts. Connect the hoses and wiring.
  3. On 4WD vehicles, connect the driveshaft and the exhaust system.
  4. Put about three gallons of fuel into the tank and test the system.
