SOURCE: loud squealing from power steering pump - do I need new PS pump?
Hi Norman,
Sounds like the adjustment may not be correct on the power steering belt, with the tension not being enough, after you replaced the belt ?
Try giving it a little more tension, and go from there.
Hope I have been of help.
Good Luck !
John.

moselecm, Audi's transmissions are known for very late clutch engagement, so that part is normal - they're built that way and are not adjustable. To be sure it is really slipping due to wear and not just unfamiliarity, put the car in fifth gear at about 30mph and FLOOR the gas. If it's going to slip, that's when it will slip.
As for the fluid, it shares a reservoir with the brake fluid reservoir - take a look there at the fluid - what you see in there will be the condition that both the brakes and clutch are operating under.

Ditto to the above poster. Your brakes work off the hydroboost from the powersteering pump. There is no brake booster per say. There is a recall on the brake system on certain HUMMER's. Not sure what year your's is but maybe worth looking into. This is for '04-'05 HUMMER's.

Description
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
Summary
CERTAIN TRUCKS, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, AND VANS EQUIPPED WITH BOSCH HYDRO-BOOST BRAKE ASSEMBLIES, THE HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE ACCUMULATOR MAY CRACK AND SEPARATE FROM THE HYDRO-BOOST ASSEMBLY DURING NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS.
Consequence
IF A SEPARATION OCCURRED AND THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE WERE OPEN, FRAGMENTS FROM THE ACCUMULATOR COULD CAUSE INJURY TO PEOPLE IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA. THE PRESENCE OF THIS CRACK OR FRACTURED SURFACE COULD ALLOW THE HYDRAULIC FLUID TO LEAK FROM THE ACCUMULATOR CIRCUIT OF THE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY. THE LOSS OF FLUID WOULD CAUSE INCREASED STEERING AND BRAKING EFFORT AND A CRASH MAY OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL TEST THE HYDRO-BOOST ASSEMBLY FOR FUNCTIONAL OPERATION OF THE TWO-FUNCTION VALVE. IF THE HYDRO-BOOST ASSEMBLY FAILS THE TEST, DEALERS ARE TO REPLACE THE ASSEMBLY. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 23, 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438, GMC TRUCKS AT 1-866-996-9463 AND HUMMER AT 1-800-732-5493.

the squeel is coming from the powersteering pulley on top its made with a plastic that breaks off cause of the temperature but you can adjust it by loosening 2 bolts holding pulley and putting it against belt tighter but they came out with a new tensioner with out plastic wrapping .you can use theold one temporarely..new one come with out the 2 grooves that the one with platsic comes with..big squeeling not steering fluid check it first then check belt for looseness..
