Got trouble code p0125. Car starts then idles way low then climbs back to regular idle. What is the problem?

I have a 96 Towncar, which had a P0125 trouble code set. I changed the thermostat and cleared the code - only to have it reset in a couple minutes after starting. The car was hard starting, and died several times before it actually ran. I did also noticed that while running the idle speed had risen to over 950 RPM.

I changed the Temperature sending unit located next to the thermostat housing, and again cleared the code. After starting the car again it performed excellently and did not reset the P0125 trouble code.

Had OBD2 codes P0441 & P0446 on my 1999 Toyota Corolla. Replaced the VSV CHARCOAL EVAPORATORE, disconnected the battery, check engine light went out. came back on this am, took the car to advanced auto...

According to my 2002 Toyota Tundra manual (and it may be different for your car) P0125 is as follows:
Insufficient Coolant Temperature
for Closed Loop Fuel Control

This would seem unrelated to your original problem.
